Angel, Kirby and Max's Secret Paws package

Merry Christmas to all our friends.  We hope you have had a wonderful day full of love and joy.

When Mom and Dad came home from the family down the alley's house, we got to open our Secret Paws package.     It was from Mudpie and Melissa.

We have been sniffing the box for days, begging Mom to open it.  Then when Dad got the camera, we would not get close to it!

 Look at all the packages! 

OOPS, Mom and Dad need to coordinate better! 

 OK, that is better. 

Kirby has picked put his favorite toy.  It is a Chickadee that makes noise! 

 This ball also makes birdie noises 

 Max is interested in the feather butt balls!

And so is Angel.  Good thing there were two of them! 

Angel is also checking out the Nip mouses!

 

 OK, Max, Mom is taking it out of the package for you!

This  Kitty Kush Catnip Grinder was a big hit with Angel and Kirby.   Max did check it out, but he has never been a nip head.

 This is a cool treat dispenser!  It is a snowman that rocks.  There are treats inside and Mom thinks we are going to make it rock and get treats out.  We fooled her.  We watched her rock it and and then ate the treats that fell out! 

That is three different flavors Party Mix, our favorite treat.  Kirby is laying on wrapping paper that has nip on it!  He rolled on it till he had nip all over himself!

 Mom got this cute box.  She does not work any longer, but we know how to spend her retirement funds! 

 And this cute bag with kitties and a pair of Kitty socks!

  

 And here Angel is looking over all the presents, well except the feather falls that she and Max claimed!

 

PSSST!  Mom you forgot the pretty purple fluffy balls!  I know there are three, but those boys do not like purple! 

Thank you Mudpie and Melissa.  We really are enjoying all of our gifts!

Sending our Secret Paws - The Florida Furkids

Charlemagne, Tamar and Mal here.  Our silly Momma got the package all ready to go, but didn't get any pictures of us with it.  

Here's all of the goodies that we sent to our Secret Paws.  Shhhhh!  We aren't supposed to tell who they are, so there aren't any tags and we didn't include our Christmas card to them in the picture.

Charlemagne:  "I made sure that there was some good teeth marks already on the box so they would know it had been thoroughly inspected on our end."

Here's the box all sealed up and ready to take to the people in blue who deliver the mail.  The report we got back from them says it got to our Secret Paws already.  Whew!  Good job getting that all taken care of, Momma.

We're packing up our surprises and gifts here at the Townhouse for our Secret Paws. The man in red (well, navy blue actually) picked them up just a few days ago. He promised to deliver them safely to our secret kitty friends 1,233 miles away!

The Farm Cats Share their Secret Paws from the Colehaus Cats

Every year the cat blogging world comes together to celebrate the holiday season with a very fun gift exchange called Secret Paws. The Farm cats look forward to it every year for they both like to give and to receive. This year they sent their package to a first time participant in the fun, Welcome to the Menagerie. The Farm cats were very excited to learn that the cats there really liked their presents.

An Artist Cat?

The Farm cats got their package on Saturday from the clowder at Colehaus Cats, home of the famous painting cat Quint. If you didn't know about Quint you can read his story and then if you need a really cool gift for someone you can purchase one of his artworks. Proceeds help cats in need. Proceeds help cats in need. I was excited when the box arrived because truth be told I needed a smile. The hubby had been away for over a week and it's always a bit lonely for me so getting a package full of fun was good. The first thing I opened was one of Quint's beautiful paintings! 

It almost looks like the view out my window doesn't it? Quint must have known how much I like trees - and they look like they have a touch of snow on them. I've put it on a shelf with some of my favorites until I can get a frame for it. That way I can look up and see it any time I need a smile. Thank you Quint, I love it.

What Else Was in the Box?

There was SO MUCH MORE in the box! It was all wrapped so prettily too. (The Farm cats enjoyed the tissue paper - just sayin') I was surprised I didn't have more help unpacking the box. I think they were more interested in the white stuff falling from the sky. 

 But Sherpa l.o.v.e.d. the peacock feathers. I've never had any of these to use in playing with the cats in spite of all of the stories I've read online. He wasn't sure at first - he needed to give them a good sniff - but was soon whappin' and biting and having a grand ole time with them. 

The packages held a bounty of Farm cat fun to be had. The Farm cats love the chase mousies and balls around the yurt if there are feathers attached all the more excitement awaits. I know that they will be enjoying these gifts for a while. 

The stuff it yourself mousie was a big hit with Sherpa. He meowed that is was some really good 'nip! I heard some noises a little later in the evening, I turned around and that mousie was flying through the air at my head level. So this is definitely a hit. 

Stinky the Farm cat has taken one of the poofy tailed mousies for herself. I have not seen it since. I suspect it will show up the next time I sweep under the couch. Silly Stinky! 

There were also some tasty treats for me in the box. Mmmmm, Macadamia nut turtles and minty Hershey Kisses. I will neither confirm nor deny the continued existence or non-existence of the turtles. BUUUUUURRRRP. (They were very good!)

Harry Lays Claim

I was not the only one to receive tasty treats. A certain Tuxedo Farm cat was sent his heart's desire. We all know by now of Harry's additction love of Temptations and the Colehaus Cats sent him a week's huge supply! He is one happy Farm cat. 

There are even a couple of flavors he has not tried before. Needless to say Harry is in a state of bliss. I am trying to convince him to share but it is not going well. 

He thinks all the Temptations in the world are his. I think he should apply for a quality control job.
